UW
Things are crazy here at UW, and I love it. This week has been one of the busiest ever. I've argued with two politicians, almost got talked into selling Mary Kay crap, rode a challenging horse, and took lots of midterms. Tonight I got to see the wonderful Anna and her elusive boyfriend Jake. It is weird that I am still so attached to many of my high school friends, but they really are incredible, intelligent people. I think I grew up and discovered my identity more in high school than a lot of people, and that I really found my niche with them. Man, I sound all sweet and nice. Its the little things, though, that make life worth here interesting. Like I created a personal battle with one of the women who swipes our cards at the dining center. One of the women is all sweet and nice and says "hi" and "thank you" to all the students, while this other one rarely does, and she looks all sour. I always go through the nice one's line and make a point of glaring at the other one so she knows I dislike her unfriendliness. But now, if I am forced to go through the mean one's line she will say nice things to the people in line before me, but not to me. It is so on.
Tonight I asked Rachel, in a joking kind of way, if she would be really pissed if I shaved off one of her eyebrows while she was asleep. She said yes, in a very non-joking way. Now THAT plan is ruined. At least I still have my Sharpie.
Tomorrow I head down to CSU to see the UW v.CSU game. I am very excited. I'm driving down with Petey and Justin, while John is meeting up with us later. John developed a voice that he uses to imitate me. Seriously, it seems like as soon as I get to know people, they start teasing me. It is ridiculous. I don't even get a "new friend" grace period of non-teasing.
Life is good right now.
